This is my first photo credit for my work at the Edwardsville Intelligencer as an unpaid intern. I am super excited about this opportunity to gain some real world experience!
I got my camera back just in time, I thought, to get to work. I shipped my camera out to Nikon at the end of April to get it serviced and was happy to have it back— Unfortunately it is NOT fixed, and is in fact a little worse than when I initially shipped it back out— and all for the low low cost of $250…
After talking to the head of Noctography, we’ve come to the conclusion that the problem is probably the sensor….
All in all, hoping to get that $250 back as a credit towards the ACTUAL repair of the camera. Trying hard to keep the faith in Nikon and my future with this camera.
sooooooo
i entered this little competition to have one of my photographs plastered on a debit card for Vantage Credit Union here in St. Louis, SO if you’d like to give it some traffic, that might give me a chance!

thankyous :)
Howdy folks!
It’s been a while and I am making LOTS of changes! I’ll be re-doing the portfolio and breaking it up into sections so that people are able to find what they’re looking for, hopefully, a little easier— this change will make it possible to add more of my work without weighing down the feel of the page.
For the first time in about five years, I’m having business cards reprinted. That’s really exciting for me! My dear friend Calum Wright is working on the design for the back of the cards. I’m really blessed to have such a talented designer helping me out!
I’ve changed my contact info— my new email address is thegwendolynmercer@gmail.com. Very catchy, I know. ;)
Feel free to add me on Google+ under that email.
Send me a note! What have you been up to lately?
